Are you keeping your small business alive?

In scanning the internet and researching opportunities for reasonable marketing help, I came across the following article and site by Brian Kingsley of Small Business Design and Marketing. It sounded interesting to me and just may be something bed and breakfast owners could benefit from. So I decided to share it here. If you read it, approach with caution, as you would any advertisement on the internet and check it out before getting involved. Take what you will from it...........

The Recession Truth,
by Brian Kingsley (edited for space allowance)

Let's cut throught the bull. Times are tough. It's going to get far worse sooner than it gets better. No marketing or promotion for your small business (especially Hospitality & Tech) is not a good decision. Explore your opportunities by clicking here. There are so many scams out there now that consumers must be educated as to how to recognize a legit opportunity from a scam.

The Hosptiality Industry will be one of the top 5 hardest hit in 2009. If you do nothing at all, you're likely to be sunk. There are affordable and effecive ways to not only hang on to what you have but increase your revenue during these difficult times. If you do not feel that you can market your Inn effectively yourself, there are reputable people who can help you out. Many will negotiate pricing and barter for goods and services, including website design and marketing.

Small Business is the backbone of the United States. Are you going to let the government take that away from you? No, you're going to be optimistic and you will most likely come out on top.

  1. From Brian Kingsley... I am in the process of building a site specifically targeted to help B&B and Innkeepers market their lodging facilities. The site will contain both free and paid services, marketing & design. I sent out a test email to 80 inns/bnb's and over 38% opened the email but only 2 establishments clicked through to the site. My vision for this site is genuinely sincere in wanting to offer both free (shared) marketing tips and of course the services that I offer. Please visit the site and submit your comments and suggestions regarding what you would like to see on the site. I'm a one person operation and, like thousands of small businesses in the US, right now I'm hurting. Let's help each other. As and end note, my references are verifiable by visiting either www.InnkeeperMarketing.Com or www.BrianKingsley.com. Thanks and have a great year to all.

  2. Brian,

Thanks for the comment. I certainly will go and check out your site. And I appreciate your suggesting that we can help each other. Some of the wsays you help me are: making comments about the content of the posts on my site, linking me to your site, and mentioning me when and whereever you get a chance. I am a writing adnam writing on several sites on the internet. If you would like I could come up with an article about your project.
